Bitch Media is an independent nonprofit that focuses on providing a feminist response to mainstream media and pop culture. Their roots are in the quarterly magazine that they publish, and their reach has expanded to include daily online articles and weekly podcasts. They also have a community lending library at their headquarters, which is in Portland, Oregon. Bitch also facilitates a vibrant online community that exchanges ideas and commentary on media.
Their Little Book of Book Lists is place to jot down book lists – for example, “Books About Female Friendship”, “Books That Would Make Great Movies” and “Books With Beautiful Covers”. There are also blank pages for notes, each of which features a quote about reading. This custom Scout Books project was especially dear to our book-loving hearts. The design features purple and red ink on the covers, custom pages on the inside printed in vibrant purple, and is stitched with white staples.
