Graphic Designer
Classification: Hourly, full time

Overview
We’re currently seeking a multi-talented mid-level Graphic Designer to join our lively team of press operators, bindery experts, marketing wizards, and sales superstars. Our fast-paced Sales and Marketing department is looking for someone to take their big ideas from concept to completion. This position requires excellent graphic communication skills, creative problem solving, a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for executing great design. This position will serve as our in-house graphic designer, contributing to both print and digital marketing campaigns for Scout Books brand development as well as supporting client needs for custom Scout Books orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Graphic design for print and digital marketing campaigns
• Graphic design for internal communications and client projects
• Graphic design for product development
• Brand development
• Production design for preparation of client files for proofing and production

Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or related field preferred, and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two or more years of professional experience in design
• Experience producing catalogs, packaging, and digital marketing assets
• Experience working with multiple clients and / or in a team-based environment is preferred
• Strong and diverse portfolio, demonstrating excellent print and digital design skills and creativity

Knowledge and Skills
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Ai, Ps, Id, etc.)
• Understanding of pre-press design
• Excellent communication
• Positive attitude / Team spirit
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Self motivated / Highly organized
• Active participant in the design community

Compensation / Benefits
$20 – $24 per hour, depending on experience
