Updates

During this challenging time, Scout Books continues to be open for business, working with customers to help them bring their projects to life, and safely making and shipping orders. We know that it’s not business as usual though, and we are very committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our team, vendors, and clients.  To ensure this, we have created COVID-19 Safety and Preparedness Plans. As the situation is fluid and changing on a regular basis, Scout Books continues to monitor the guidance of various governmental agencies to ensure that we take appropriate precautions to protect staff, vendors, and clients, and update our plans as needed. Our ultimate goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our community. Through cooperative efforts with our clients, staff, and vendors, we can slow the spread!

When will I get my order?

There’s no interruption in making Scout Books and we’re here to make your big ideas into little books! Our standard turn-around time for orders is 15 business days. Need something sooner? Let us know and we can work together to find the right solution for you. 

Can I visit Scout Books?

In the past, we loved seeing local clients when they came to pick up their orders, but for now we’re limiting the number of face-to-face interactions we have, and are discouraging in-person pick ups. We offer free standard shipping for custom orders and orders over $100, and recommend having your local order delivered directly to you through USPS or UPS. 

We’re limiting our in-person interactions overall with vendors and clients. If a visit is necessary, masks are required to enter the building. If you forget to bring a mask, we will have disposable masks available by the entrances. We ask that if you come by our facilities, that you ring the doorbell and step back 6 feet.  

Will you be hosting Tours, Events, and Meetings?

We’ve pressed pause on any in-person events, tours, and meetings. If you would like to meet with us, we’d love to set up a virtual meeting to talk about your project. Other Practices at Scout Books

  • Increased surface cleaning, hand washing, and sanitation stations
  • Socially distanced work stations for those that must come to work in the offices or shop floor
  • Remote work for all possible positions and tasks
  • Encouragement of team members to get vaccinated
  • All visitors encouraged to wear masks in the buildings 
  • Posted safety information
  • Following OHA and CDC guidelines for good hand hygiene, covering coughs and sneezes
  • Staying home if exhibiting signs of illness
