What kind of artwork can I print on a black cover?
You can use both vector and raster artwork for printing with metallic ink. We recommend at least 300 dpi for raster artwork, but a higher resolution will help ensure a detailed final piece especially with illustrations.
We recommend steering clear of designing with heavy ink coverage, as large expanses of offset metallic ink can scuff. With the right design, the black chipboard really looks sharp!
Can I print on the front and the back of the cover? What about the inside cover?
Yes! You can design your artwork to print on both the front and back cover of your notebook. Additional artwork can be added to the inside cover for an additional fee. Please reach out to our Team to get custom pricing for inside cover printing.
Can I order less than 250?
Yes! Quantities less than 250 (as low as 50!) can be ordered by reaching out to our Team. Custom pages are only available for quantities of 250 or greater.
Will the ink be shiny like foil?
No. We use metallic inks that have finely ground pigments that will reflect the light but are not shiny like a solid piece of foil. Trust us, they look very sophisticated and have great contrast on our black cover. It looks fantastic!
Can I use other color inks, or more than one ink color?
Yes! We can definitely bring your multiple color design to life. However, there are only certain ink colors that will print on our black papers. Our Gold, Silver, and Copper inks are our favorites for high contrast. Reach out to our Team to design the notebooks of your dreams!
Are there other sizes?
Yes! We offer a 5x7in version we call our Mega. Reach out to our Team for pricing and details!
